G Srivatsa Sharma is a software enthusiast with a strong understanding of enterprise technology, including Cloud Computing, Information Security, and Artificial Intelligence. He is a member of the technical staff at VMware, working as a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) developer for VMware Cloud on Amazon Web Services. In this role, he ensures 99.9% uptime for VMC on AWS SaaS customers, monitors and catches issues during SDDC operations, triages incidents, and contributes to the automation platform to remediate repeat incidents. Srivatsa is also a business student at Liverpool John Moores University, where he has applied his knowledge in business communication, decision sciences, and incident management to the tech space. He presented a session titled 'Problem solving in a resource constrained environment' at VMworld 2021, based on his experience working with high-ticket customers at VMware GSS and SRE teams. Aside from his technical expertise, Srivatsa is enthusiastic about contemporary photography and is a budding graphologist (handwriting analyst). He has previously interned at Atos, where he developed a module of a project for 'predictive maintenance' for a European auto firm client, and at nthdimenzion, where he worked with the ERP development team to develop a full-fledged ERP application using 'ofBiz' for an SME client. Srivatsa holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science and Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, a Program Diploma in Business Management from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI), a PGPM from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Liverpool John Moores University. He has a strong technical skill set, including programming fluency in C, C++, Python, R, Java, nodeJS, and HTML/CSS/XML markup languages, working expertise in Unix command line, Bash shell, MS PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, and a deep understanding of Operating Systems - Linux/Unix, MS Windows Server, and exposure to Amazon Web Services, VMware NSX, and VMware vSAN. Overall, Srivatsa is a talented and driven individual with a passion for technology and a strong desire to continuously learn and grow in the field.
